Nexus Faire is a new kind of fandom event for New England.
It is a place for geeks of all kinds to come together. We will have performers, workshops, vendors, food, and parties.
The mission of Nexus Faire is to bring together the people who make fandom happen to have a good time, relax, and network. It is a place for staff, volunteers, vendors, performers, and makers to mix and mingle. For some many of the people coming, it may be a rare opportunity to actually sit back and watch a performance or two. Do not worry. It may seem like you are just relaxing, but with a networking event relaxing is actually working!
The main day of the event is Saturday, as that is when most of the performances are running, but you are welcome to come as early as Friday at 5:00 PM and leave as late as Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Nexus Faire will take place at Ye Olde Commons, a 40 acre LARP site owned and opperated by some awesome geeky folks. Ye Olde Commons boasts a great hall, vendor building, cabins, and plenty of camping space.
Pre-registation is now available. You should do it! You will save $5 if you pre-register.
Want to save even more money on the already low cost of Nexus Faire? It's easy! Bring friends. For each person you bring with you who was not at the first Nexus Faire, we will give you $10 of credit which you can use for admission, cabin spaces, and even food! A pretty good deal for showing your friends a good time.
Age Note: While Nexus Faire is not an age-controlled event, it is also not an event intended to be "family friendly." Attendees under 18 must be have parental permission, either in person at registration or in writing. Nexus Faire, NexusCorp, Ye Olde Commons, and Nexus Faire and Ye Olde Commons staff are not responsible for any corruption or moral degradation your children may experience while at Nexus Faire.
